People tend to stay healthy longer if they are supported and cared for in their home environment. Feeling a continued sense of purpose is often possible with a little assistance from an in-home caregiver.

Homebodies provides a broad range of customized care services. At our initial visit, we listen to your family's situation and concerns, then develop a Care Plan specific to your needs.

Personal Care:
Personal care can include bathing, dressing, monitoring special diets, and/or helping with medication reminders. Meal preparation is another care option. Some of our clients enjoy helping in the kitchen.

Mobility Assistance:
Moving around the house can be hazardous for some people. Our caregivers are trained in assisting and moving. We help with getting in and out of bed, moving to and from a favorite chair, to the bath and back, and in and out of the car. We enjoy walks when possible.

Transportation and Shopping:
Our caregivers can escort and assist your loved one going to appointments, shopping, and running errands. Getting out and about provides a change in environment, as well as a social experience. When this is not possible, we can do the shopping and errands.

Respite Care:

Numerous studies have shown how important it is for a primary caregiver to maintain his or her own life as much as possible while caring for a loved one. We can give you a well deserved break, enabling you to return refreshed to your caregiving role.

Companion Care:
If your loved one is interested in activities such as going to the movies, playing cards or other games, or even gardening, our caregivers can make that happen. Helping to read the mail or write letters or birthday cards may also be the special touch that is needed.

Event Support:
If your family is having a big event (wedding, reunion, picnic, etc.) we can help by being with your loved one so you can focus on your guests. We can assist with preparation, transportion, and companionship during the event.

Light Housekeeping:
If daily household tasks (laundry, ironing, cleaning up, dishes, dusting and vacuuming) pose difficulties, Homebodies is used to helping out.

Lending Closet:
Homebodies provides aids to help with daily living to their clients through the Lending closet.

Care Services

Homebodies is a non-medical, private-pay group. However, we do work with long-term care insurance. We suggest you check with your insurance agent to determine your policy coverage.

More and more insurance companies are covering in-home care, as it has proven to be much less costly than care at a facility.
